My Windows XP 64 bit was recently attacked by a Win32 Trojan Virus so I had to reformat my desktop. I have used the command line to extract and repair archive formats. I have now upgraded to a Windows 8 OS. My problem now is I can't use the command line to Easy Extract in Windows 8. Do I have to install other softwares for this?

As per my knowledge to get out of this you should go for Anti Trojan virus and try to repaire your system so that it comes out it then after reboot your machine. to do this i suggest you to go for Ouick heal antivirus software as it has very good rating for doing this kind of work it will help you a lot…

There is no need to install other party softwares to perform extraction in windows 8. Following are the commands which may prove useful in extraction in windows 8
Extrac32
Expand
Exetobin
Esentutl
Fastopen
Fc
However exetobin command is not available in 64 bit version of windows 8. But you can use other commands
