Duplicate instance of Firefox detected.

Why on earth that every time I run my Firefox browser, a warning message saying Firefox is already running but not responding appears. A need to close the other instance before I can run the Firefox is instructed.

As what I have said, every time I run the Firefox, even if it is running at the first log on Windows, the error message appears. Why did this happen?

Did I make two instances in just one running application?

Please help me.

Close Firefox

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the

existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

Hi dear!

In Firefox, you cannot run two profiles at a once. Sometimes, when you quit from the browser, it does not shut down your profile properly. When you log-in, this error might occur again. It is because Firefox uses a file system called “Locked Files” to ensure that one profile is running at a time. Windows might not able to delete this file. You can find some other options to delete this file by visiting the link below:

Hi dear!

In Firefox, you can not run two profiles at a once. Sometimes, when you quit from the browser, it does not shut down your profile properly. You won’t get any message for that. Then when you log-in to Firefox, this error might occur again. This because Firefox uses a file system called “Locked Files” to ensure that one profile is running at a time. Windows might not be able to delete this file. You can find some other options to delete this file by visiting the link below:

Or 

Select the Firefox icon on your computer desktop and right click on the icon. Then, you will be provided with the drop down menu. There, select the option called “Run as administrator”.
