Is dsl 3.0 Mbps is the perfect solution for the slow internet?

Hi

Currently in my office we have 1.5 Mbps connection and it is really hard to work with it, So they decide to change the package in to 3.0 Mbps connection.  So is it a good decision and can it improve the sped of our connection?

Hi,

 I will help you to clear your doubt. The 1.5 Mbps connection is not very fast and not a good solution for a company. In companies, a lot of data is consumed. So you need more bandwidth. The upgrade to 3.0 DSL is a good choice by your authorities. It will help you a lot with your problems. This is a good solution, but more speed is better.

Kevin,

The issue with DSL is that the bandwidth is asynchronous.  While your download speed may increase to 3.0 or 5.0 or possibly even 7.0, the upload speed may only be 768 KBps or 1.5 MBps.  So you may still have issues with the system being slow. It may be possible to get a synchronous line through your provider that is programmed for the same speed up as down.  In order to get this you would need to get in touch with your provider and ask if its available.  Depending on the size of your company and how many employees work remotely, a synchronous line may be prudent.  However, in general, higher download bandwidth will improve the speed of your internet traffic.
