Hey! What will be the additions of this new Droid Razr? Will this also have the Splashguard technology and will this gadget be more secure? Thanks

To answer your query, the latest iteration of Motorola, known as the Droid RAZR MAXX,  carries a higher battery capacity of at least 85 percent compared to its predecessor, the Droid RAZR.  At first glance, one may notice that both phones have identical design and layout considering the portion where  the micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports are located.  It is only when you look for the battery where the physical change can be noticeable. In fact, the Droid RAZR has a hump at the top of the device for the camera similar to Droid Bionic whereas, the RAZR Maxx is smooth from top to bottom.  

The Droid RAZZR MAXX comes with the previously introduced splashguard technology, which will protect it if you happen to get caught in the rain or spill something on your phone.

The Motorola DROID Razr XT912 supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. It was announced in October 2011 and released a month after. It measures 130.7 x 68.9 x 7.1 millimeters and weighs around 127 grams. It has a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors and 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and supports multitouch.

It runs on 1 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage and supports microSD upgradable up to 32 GB. The Motorola DROID Razr XT912 ships with a 16 GB microSD card. The primary camera supports 8 megapixels at 3264 x 2448 pixels featuring autofocus, LED flash, face detection, touch focus, geo-tagging, and image stabilization.

It supports video recording in 1080p at 30 fps, or 480p at 120 fps. It has a secondary camera that supports 2 megapixels and supports video recording in 720p. It runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean powered by TI OMAP 4430 chipset on Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and PowerVR SGX540 GPU.

It supports compass, accelerometer, and proximity sensors. For internet browsing, it supports HTML with Adobe Flash. It supports Java through Java MIDP emulator and A-GPS for GPS. The battery is a non-removable Li-Ion 1780 mAh with standby time of up to 204 hours and talk time of up to 12 hours and 30 minutes. It costs around EUR 220.
