A drive scan 2011 problem

Hi Techyv,

I have encountered some issue. A drive scan 2011 was made and some of the files being unreadable. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Hope to get at this as soon as possible. Thanks guys.

Hi Sammy,
This issue of unreadable files generally arises from bad sectors on the drive, this could be as a result of physical damage or a static electricity damage. The first thing you need to do is to use the partition wizard and try to correct the errors, you can also recover the unreadable files using this tool.
Another way to recover the bad sectors is by use of other recovery tools such as Recuva, Get Data Back among others which are available online.
The third option is take it to an expert who can diagnose it through opening of the casing. I’d highly recommend you not to try and open it if you do not have the knowledge since you may destroy it further. Also if the warrant is still valid you can just return it to the dealers so that they can advise you accordingly.
