Does OpenOffice Software works like MS Office?

Hi, I found this OpenOffice software, but i want to know how it works, for example, can i recover my passwords with it, or not, what options does this software provide for me?

Does OpenOffice Software works like MS Office?

Open Office works same as the normal one but the difference is that the original Microsoft Office is not Freeware. Password protected documents from one application can be read by the other one most of the time but it depends on various situations. But recovering a Password cannot be done.

Does OpenOffice Software works like MS Office?

Hi Donna Davisess,

The OpenOffice software is free. You can open all documents that you have saved from the MS Office such as your Word file, Excel file and Powerpoint file. In addition, you can also export your document to a PDF file, creating of course, a PDF file. This is a very powerful function of the OpenOffice since the MS Office do not have it and most of the time, when you want your document to be converted to PDF, you will be needing a separate software for this. But with OpenOffice, you just need to export it to PDF.
