Hi,

Having a hard time creating software project progress chart. My java library system needs a documentation including project progress chart, I never encountered this kind of chart before so I decided to ask you guys about this. I need to make some survey and compare some of your opinion based on your experiences in documentary.

Regards,

Brenda Lopez.

Hello Brenda Lopez,

You can use Microsoft Visio as well as Microsoft Project for creating your project progress chart. I have used both to develop my programming algorithms and documentations.

You can have a brief tutorial at this site: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Getting-started-with-Project-2010-c339858a-bec5-46d2-b296-80321fe7625a?CorrelationId=c6992610-ed17-4ad4-add1-d44d7c75bdad&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US&ocmsassetID=RZ101831071

Best of luck with your documentation and project progress chart.

Hopefully, these two will help you.

Hi Brenda,

A Gantt chart can be used to track you project. You can download Visio from Microsoft’s website. After downloading take a new file ,from that take schedule and click on Gantt chart. There is tab for date. You can give your time schedules and deadlines there. You can rename the file with your project’s name. You can add more projects on that Gantt chart. You can set mile stones and dependencies between projects. This Gantt chart can be used as a communication tool for projects. From this chart you can see the projects current status .

Hope this help!
