Well, I would tell you that FLV format is supported in VLC media player. Today, the driver updates of the system and the software updates of the particular software allows you to play FLV files in VLC media player. There are two ways to play FLV files in VLC media player.
1.) Download the latest version of the VLC media player as it is completely compatible with the system and allows you to play FLV format files in it.
2.) Convert the FLV files in mp4 format. Either don’t download the files in FLV format or you can convert it to converters present online or can download any converter app.
The FLV video format is supported on VLC media player. If your copy doesn’t play flash videos, it means you are using an old and obsolete version. To make sure you are using the version that supports the most recent codec, download the latest VLC media player and upgrade your existing version.
The latest version supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Among the video formats supported include 3GP (.3gp), AMV (.amv), AVI (.avi), DivX (.divx), FLV (.flv), MP4 (.mp4), M4V (.m4v), MKV (.mkv), MOV (.mov), MPG (.mpg), OGG (.ogg), RMVB (.rmvb), WebM (.webm), WMV (.wmv), and many more.
