Do I need a big ftp file transfer software?

I am transferring files from my computer to my office web server. These are huge files, by the way. Do I need a big FTP file transfer software for me to do this? What is the most recommended software out there that is also as secure? I don’t have my own website or web server and I don’t have anything installed that will support this transfer except for my own email.
