Hello!

I am just thinking on how to properly back up my phone. I just recently heard that the phones released in the past few months are more susceptible with viruses. I just want to be ready so if this will happen everything are well organized. Can you give me instructions on how to back up my files? What are the available applications that I can use to this on my phone? Which one will be better, just transfer the files from phone to computer or make a back copy in the phone itself? Thank you very much and have a nice day!

Hello,

Backing up Samsung smartphone is easier than any other phone using their desktop suite that can create backup of apps, photos, files and everything else.

First of all, download and install Samsung Kies. If your device’s Android version is 4.3 or later, download Kies 3. Otherwise, download Kies 2.6.

Then, connect your phone via USB cable to your PC. Choose “Media device (MTP)” as the connecting option to PC.

Open Kies in your PC. It’ll detect your device.

1. Select “Backup & Restore” tab.

2. From the left pane, select “Data backup”.

3. Tick “Select all items”.

4. Press “Backup”.

Thus, you can backup your phone’s data and apps at the same time.

But this won’t save the profile of your apps. In order to backup app profile, you can use an app called Helium.
