You must prepare your devices you want to connect first, make sure their support IrDA.

Then install the IrDA hardware if it ask for it. Align the computers so the IrDA can attach each other in range 1 meter.

Now open New Connection Wizard to set up advanced connection. Select Connect directly to another computer, and decide which computer to be the Host or guest, and finish after you satisfy.

After wireless link appear in tray, use it to connect your computer.

You can use this icon to transfer files between two computers.
