Hello,

Getting this error message when want to deploy unattended Windows XP SP3 installation using SCCM 2007 R3 to VMware machine hosted on VM Ware ESX Server 3i, 3.5.0. Provide some reasonable resolutions to demolish this error. Thanks.

You are getting this error because it needs a great amount of storage for drivers of VMWare image. In resolving this issue, VMWare SCSI Controllers should be put into SCCM and be able to apply to boot images and Drivers package distribution package.

In C:Program FilesVMwareVMware ToolsDrivers, copy this to SCCM Server and then import it in order to successfully install Windows XP SP3

Step 1 – Create a Package for Drivers in SCCM

Step 2 – Import the drivers of VMWare into the Driver area

Step 3 – Be sure that during the process of creating Driver wizard, update the boot images and distribute the points of Driver package.

Step 4 – Add “Apply Driver Package” into the “Task Sequence”, choose the VMWare package of drivers you previously created. Check the box that says “Select the mass storage…."
