Please Review the End User License agreement for information about the number of machines on which you can install your copy of Visio.

In most cases, when you upgrade hardware on your computer, you may be prompted to activate Visio again. If you receive notification that you have reached the limit of your End User License Agreement, it is advisable to contact your Microsoft Customer Service representative. Please be note that it is not possible to deactivate Visio. Whenever you want to install Visio on another computer after having removed it from the computer on which you activated it you may contact Microsoft for more information that you can do.

I hope that helps.

Hello Douglas,

Visio is a stand-alone application of the Office System, and therefore it is not part of the Office 2003 Professional or Office 2003 Standard. Activating Visio online requires that have an Internet connection established before you can go ahead and start the Visio Activation Wizard. In the event that the wizard does not recognize your connection,  you will need to call the phone number listed in the wizard to activate Visio.

But when it comes to deactivating Visio, it will not be possible to do that. In case you need to install Visio on another computer after having removed it from the computer on which you activated it, you will need to contact your Microsoft Customer Service representative or visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us.

Regards,

Carl

If you need to transfer your Microsoft Visio to another computer, transferring the license is also possible. First, you need to get the product key of your Microsoft Visio. If you can’t find it, download Belarc Advisor to get the product key from your old computer. Once you retrieve the product key, uninstall Microsoft Visio from the old computer.

Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller then install it. Once installed, run Revo then select Microsoft Visio from the list. Click “Uninstall” and then follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your machine for any leftovers. Delete all items found after the scan to remove everything the program created on your computer then restart the machine.

On the new computer, install Microsoft Visio and use the retrieved product key to register or activate the program.
