Converting VHS to DVD but sound missing

I am trying to copy VCR tapes to DVD. For this, I am using Roxio easy VHS to DVD.

But, by this it burns only the video not the audio. I meant, it doesn’t copy’s sound.

Anyone knows how to solve this?

Hello Jason,

I will advise that you check the settings in the Roxio Easy VHS ans ensure that you have set it to copy both video and audio. The settings may be set in a way that only the video is to be copied, just check that out and rectify if that is the case. Or maybe VCR tapes do not allow for files to copy with audio to the DVD.

If the problem persists you can get another burning software like Nero express or Ashampoo burning ROM and try using them. Both of these are downloadable for free from the internet, so just choose of them of them download them and install them, and use them to burn your files to the DVD.

Hi Jason

First try saving the VCR contents in the computer before burning it. Check if the sound is working properly after saving, if it doesn’t work then the problem is with your method of input from VCR tape.

Give the option of burning a data DVD instead of a video DVD. Make sure you have sufficient space on the DVD to burn the data on the VCR.

It seems that Roxio is not good enough to transfer data from VCR to DVD. Try this software called Golden Videos, it’s specially designed to convert VCR to DVD. You can download and try for free. Here is the site address.
