As I foot is equal to 30.48 centimeters, and 1 inch is equal to 2.54 centimeters, so we find the distance d in cm by adding the above. Suppose you want to convert 3feet+2inches to centimeters, then

D(cm)= 3ft*30.48 + 2inch*2.54

= 96.52cm
