Converting Excel Workbooks to PDF

Hi friends,

I used ABBYY PDF Transformer to convert word and Excel documents into PDF. I have no problems converting Word files to PDF. It works perfectly. However i cannot convert full Excel workbooks into PDF.

If the Excel workbook has 1 sheet, it is no problem. It converts it. But if the Excel sheet has more than one sheet, I cannot get it to save all sheets in one PDF document.

Does anyone have experience with this application and can explain to me how I can convert an entire Excel workbook into PDF?

All the sheets should be converted into PDF and it should all form one PDF document. It should not be different documents.

Converting Excel Workbooks to PDF

Make sure you have selected the "all pages" option on the ABBYY save tab. Or you can try combining all the created PDFs by using the Combining Multiple Files into one PDF Document,.

Select all and set the correct order or just add sheet by sheet to the same PDF file by using the 'add file to an existing PDF document'.

Anyway you should be able to save as PDF directly from the Excel. You only need to search for the Save As PDF or Export as PDF button.

Converting Excel Workbooks to PDF

You can use a program to convert a Excel file to PDF file. It is an easy process:

• You have to first till the location of your Excel file and then it will return back a PDF file. It can be done easily by using a valid converter. May be the converter you are using has expired or it is on the trial version. So such conditions will effect your files.
• The best way to your solution is to convert your files online. Yes you can convert online also from Excel, Word, PowerPoint, images, websites and other files to PDF. Go to FreePDFConvert.
• I have used this many times and I get 100% results. It is easy and is available anywhere with internet access. 
• But if you are still not satisfied, then you can download a free Excel to PDF converter. It is also available on the internet.

Converting Excel Workbooks to PDF

novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files simply by printing to it instead of your normal printer. To convert your Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheet to a PDF:

1. Open Microsoft Office Excel and go to Office Button->Open, browse for the spreadsheet you want converted to PDF and open it

2. Go to Office Button->Print and in the Printer section select novaPDF

3. Before creating the PDF file you can adjust novaPDF’s settings by using the Properties button (for instance adding document information, using auto-save options, embedding fonts, adjusting page size and resolution)

4. In the Print what section, you can choose to print the active worksheet (Active sheet), certain areas of the worksheet (Selection) or the Entire workbook.

5. Click on OK and choose a location where you want the PDF file saved. After the PDF is created it will be automatically opened in the default PDF viewer (this action is set by default but It can be configured too using novaPDF’s Properties window ).   That's it.
