Every electronic device will have a managing tool, but yet the computers have it. The work of the management tool in the computer is different than other managing tool. Can anyone just make out what is the importance of Windows software licensing management tool for computers??

Hi,

Windows software licensing management tool (SLMgr) is a software used to resolve activation problems or upgrade a PC. The main component in the Windows operating system, and it applies to all OSes.

It is different from Registration, it means, Activation is the process of ensuring that the copy of License is used according to the terms and conditions given in the product manual, while registration is the process of giving information for product support, tools, and other product utilities.

All the functions of the SLMgr are provided by the command line slmgr.vbs; the utility is depended on VBScript. And even if you run SLMgr commands in thecommand line, the error details will display in the pop-up dialog window
