Computer working slower facing a problem

Hi Friends,

I am facing a problem. I am using windows XP and from the last few days my computer is responding very slowly. I have also tried scanning my computer but it hasn't helped, despite no virus were found. Is there any way to speed up my computer? What should I do?

Computer working slower facing a problem

Hello,

The problem you are facing may be due to many reasons. Either you may be having too many applications opening all at once; as some of the applications run after every boot; these applications also use a lot of memory. You may adjust your Windows setting for the best performance.

 

You may also try to delete temporary files by pressing ctrl+R and typing temp and run the program. You delete those temporary files, then again pressing ctrl+R and typing %temp% and repeat the procedure. You can also try by running and deleting prefetch files. This will surely help you.

Computer working slower facing a problem

Hello,

The computer is a machine which can provide you a lot of pleasure by providing facilities that fastens your regular activities. But sometimes this computer becomes a reason for pain. The pain may be caused due to slow working on the computer. The problem you’re facing is a major problem, which can make your daily activities harder.

 

So here I’m providing some solutions, which will fasten your computer. Your computer may work slowly due to various reasons. The reasons and the necessary steps to activate and to upgrade from these problems are given below:

 

1. Problem: Not having enough hard disk space.

 

Solution: Make sure that you have min 250 GB hard disk. And keep a large portion for “C” drive or the system setup drive. IT makes your computer work faster. And you would be able to install a lot of programs. It won’t affect your computer performance.

 

2. Problem: Not uninstalling programs properly.

 

Solution: Sometimes it so happens that we install a program and after some time or because of some reason we have to uninstall it. But it sometimes we could not uninstall a program properly. As a result the temporary file stays in the “Program File” and it makes the computer work slowly. So try to delete the temporary file. It would make computer work faster.

 

3. Problem: Data Corruption.

 

Solution: Another reason for the computer to work slowly is Data Corruption. It means some data missing in some of your programs or some data pollution. The way to solve this problem is to defragment your hard drives for that Go to Start > Program > Disk Defragment and try to defragment all the partition of hard drives. Regularly doing is will keep computer fast.

 

4. Problem: Pirated version of windows or Missing Windows updates.

 

Solution: In many countries it so happens that many people are using pirated or unlicensed version of software’s. As a result the unknown soft or the pirated soft my disable or do damage to Operate Program on your computer. So try to use a licensed version of software’s.

 

5. Problem: Having too many programs in the startup.

 

Solution: There are many programs which starts at the startup of the computer. So, if there are too many programs are in the startup then the computer will face problem to start quick and will not be able to perform well.

 

6. Problem: Overheating of Computer.

 

Solution: Overheating of computer means the computer motherboard getting heated up more than usual. This type of problem causes due to having a poor power – supply or defected cooler fan. So checking your power-supply regularly whether it is working properly or not and the cooler fan can be serviced or checked too.

 

7. Problem: Corrupted OS.

 

Solution: Corrupted OS or Operating System means –

• The operating system program getting virus affected by Malware.
• Not being a properly installed.
• Using a pirated version of the OS.
• Not upgrading the OS.
• 2 OS installed at a time. Etc.

So abide from this will keep your computer work fast.

 

8. Problem: Bad Hardware or not having latest configuration.

 

Solution: Another problem that can cause a computer to work slow is having bad hardware configuration in the computer. If your computer is too old version or the Processor having less processing power like “250 MB” not having “2.20 or 2.60 Gigahertz” power then the computer will atomically work slowly.

 

I would suggest you use “Dual-Core” Processor for better performance.

 

9. Problem: Having less RAM:

 

Solution: RAM is another device which can cause the computer to perform faster. I would suggest you to use minimum 1 or 2 GB RAM in your computer for better performance.

 

10. Problem: Affected disks:

 

Solution: Some time our computer hard disks get virus affected due to various reasons. So regularly scanning them with a well known software will keep them from getting affected.

 

Last of all try to servicing your computer very frequently. Hope you’d find it effective.
