Compatibility of Hitech C Compiler for Atmel 8051 Architecture Microcontroller

I am looking for the right license to use for the Atmel device on the system. There are 3 which are available: Pro mode, Standard mode and Lite mode. I would like to know the compatibility of these Hitech C Compiler licenses for Atmel 8051 Architecture Microcontroller. What would you recommend for me to use and why?

Compatibility of Hitech C Compiler for Atmel 8051 Architecture Microcontroller

Dear Faigal;

I am disparately telling you that none of above C Compilers are compatible with Atmel 8051. These all support to PIC Microcontrollers. I am giving you some names of C Compilers, mostly are available free on internet. So you can download and enjoy the free versions.

• Keil
• Raisonance
• Tasking
• Dunfield
• Crossware
• GCC
• Tiny C Compiler
• Pelles C

The choice is yours. I suggest you to use Keil, it is Freeware. It is a bit difficult to understand, but once you got control, you will enjoy it. It shows the internal memory of 8051. Debugging is available so you can see registers getting values.
