I own an I phone 6 and recently the Fitbit application showed me that there is an update available. Hence, I began the update, but it stopped in the middle showing fbbluetootherrordomain error 3. I have tried to remove and install the software again, but I got to see the same error again. What is the solution?

Hello and welcome to the website. Well, I have good as well as bad news for you.

  • The error that you see signifies that the Bluetooth of your Fitbit is damaged and hence is not able to connect with your phone. You have no other option than contacting the customer service.
  • Now, the bright news is that if it not too old and damaged, you can either get it replaced for free or they can offer you a discount of up to 50% on another model.
  • Removing and installing the application again will in no way be of help to you.
  • Hence, without losing time, you must get in contact with the customer support to avail a new piece.

Thank you.

The “FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 3” probably indicates a problem with your connection. Fitbit is a kind of fitness Smart Watch and like any other Smart Watch, it needs to be connected with a Smartphone via Bluetooth connection. Since that error mentions “Bluetooth”, check if your phone’s Bluetooth connection is still enabled. If the phone’s Bluetooth connection is turned off, turn it on so Fitbit can connect.

If this doesn’t work, try pairing the devices again then see if it works. Distance can also affect the connection. If your phone is too far from your Fitbit Smart Watch, bring your phone closer or put it in your pocket to make sure the two devices are close to one another. Try also restarting your phone if this doesn’t work.

For a little history, Fitbit Inc. or simply Fitbit is an American company with headquarters in San Francisco, California. Among its products include activity trackers, wireless-enabled wearable technology devices that measure data like the number of steps walked, quality of sleep, steps climbed, heart rate, and other personal metrics involved in fitness.
