Change the Windows Startup Sound to a Downloaded WAV Format

I have a cool startup chime downloaded and had it converted to a .wav format. I want to change my startup stoneware of my windows pc with this converted format but is it possible to change my startup chime with this cool one?

Change the Windows Startup Sound to a Downloaded WAV Format

Hi Naiwal18,

Here is the steps to make your downloaded tune your windows start up tune:

• Firs rename the downloaded file to Windows XP Startup.wav
• Copy your downloaded tune you just renamed
• Now Go to C:WindowsMedia
• Paste the file
• when asked for replacing, press yes.

From now you will hear the new tune when you start your pc. Hope it helps.

Yes, off course you can make changes to your windows sounds. If you have the proper file format then simply go to Control panel and then select sounds and go to Sounds tab then you will see sounds for many reasons so select of your type and enjoy using the sound.
