I frequently use Excel for my work but since last few days I am trying to open a particular file and I am repeatedly getting permission denied error 70. Can someone tell me the cause for this error so that I can find a work around?
Causes For Permission Denied Error 70 And Solution
The various causes for this error can be-
- Trying to open a file for sequential append or output that is write protected. Try opening in input.
- Trying to open a file in a disk that is write protected.
- Let locked files by another running function are being opened. Let the function terminate and then open.
- Trying to access registry without proper permissions. You need to have proper permissions to access registry.
