Cannot re-install OS on a dell laptop

Hi Ally,

Accidentally Operating system is crashed in my Dell laptop; I try to re-install the OS using the CD which came with the laptop. I did not have backup for any of files. Do all my data will be deleted? Can I retrieve my data in any way? One more question please, Recovery and installation CD they are different? Urgent help please.

This software can only be installed on a DELL,Unbranded system

Cannot re-install OS on a dell laptop

You havn't named which Operating System do u have ?

Here is the Solution:-

Log on to your computer as an administrator.

Open the Control Panel

Select System and Security, and then click System.

Under the Control Panel Home menu, click System protection
Select  System Restore.click Choose a different restore point, click Next and then click a restore point.

Click Next, and then click Finish to confirm your restore point., To start the restore process, click Yes.

Once the system restore is complete, your computer will restart.
