Cannot make downloads with Download Manager

I have problem while I was downloading a file. I was using the Internet Download Manager and upon downloading a trouble interrupted. A box of message occurred stating that; ''the Internet Download Manager detected that its registry keys have been damaged since the last run. It's possible that you run a flaky spyware remover program with corrupted program registry. Internet Download Manager will try to restore all damaged data, but some data may remain corrupted.'' Upon reading it, I'm thinking that the IDM is damaged. Can someone help me with this?

Hi, 

You're getting the trouble because you did not properly shutdown your computer. Therefore cleaning the registry is a must before installing again the Internet Download Manager. You can search from the Internet for the cleaning software that do the job, such as; Registry Cleaner, CCleaner, Uniblue, Tune-up Utilities.

This can help you fix and find the error. Delete your registry keys of IDM then a message will appear after. Just follow the steps. Put your computer in safe mode, Uninstall IDM. Clock the start button, hit the run then type ''regedit''. When registry editor opens proceed to software. Look for the Internet Download Folder, from there right click it and hit the delete. After it, you can now install again Internet Download Manager.

Cannot make downloads with Download Manager

Your problem arises for some reasons:

• Uninstalled the Internet Download Manager;
• Solve this one. Open your computer with  Safe Mode and proceed to the program files. From there delete the Internet Download Manager folder from the files of the program manually. Then restart your computer. 

Another way;

• After uninstalling the Internet Download Manager, click the start button and choose run. Upon hitting the rub button a small box will show then type this one: REGEDIT. From there windows of registry editor will appear. Select the Hkey local machine. Locate the folder of  Internet Download Manager and right click on it. And reinstall you IDM and done.
