Cannot close iTunes on the computer after using Shazam

Just downloaded the application Shazam on my iPhone 5, and then tested it by holding it on the desktop playing music through iTunes. It did identify the song with no problem, but then I could no longer close iTunes in the PC for some reason. Is it just a coincidence or does it have something to do with the app?

Hello Gabrial,

There is nothing to do with the App. Shazam works based on the song it hears, it just upload that sample to  Shazam database and there it returns the search results which comes from the extensive database they have for the music. Moreover, The iTunes is running on your desktop and Shazam is on your phone. There is no input whatsoever is given to your Desktop by Shazam. It is just a coincidence.
