Can we safely use inbuilt LCD resolution for play games?

What wouldbe the optimum resolution for playing games on an LCD screen without overloading the PC which would make it atuomatically shut down.

Hi,

You can safely use built-in LCD resolution for playing games. Windows usually defaults to monitor’s native resolution. However lots of PC games will frequently default to minor resolutions. When you are playing games on LCD, keep in mind that using native resolution is essential for graphics feature. Even though other settings maybe more significant, as generating a better image obtains additional graphics horsepower.

Hi Isabellartd,

Actually every resolution is safe, only it depends upon your video card on how your LCD monitor will perform. The things that you must secure is the temperature of your PC, the environments is one big factor and the way you use the PC. Using computer for a long time will overheat it. The area of your PC must have good ventilation.

Playing a game will not cause the computer to overload and shut down instantly unless the processor overheats. For the optimum screen resolution, just set your display to the maximum size. Normally, when using an LCD monitor, the system or the operating system sets the resolution to the maximum screen size supported by the monitor by default.

In my computer, my display is set to 1366 x 768 which is the maximum screen size. When playing a game, the game itself sets its own resolution for the game interface. That’s why you don’t need to think of the best resolution for the game because the game will automatically change the screen size on startup.

But as always, you can change the screen size in-game when you start playing. When you change the default screen size inside the game, that size will always be used every time you play the game. When you end the game or the game session, the screen resolution will go back to the original resolution set in the operating system.
