Can’t play videos for my phone

I downloaded videos for my phone from youtube and when I transferred the file it say "INVALID FORMAT"

I also tried to open up another video still the same over and over again. I need to show my videos to my friends from youtube through my cellphone.

you need a converter to run that video. Some phones are designed for an specific format of video. 3gp,mp4 or mpeg it depends upon the phone.

after downloading videos from youtube you should convert that file into another format.

Can I know the unit of you phone?

After downloading the YouTube video, you need to convert it first to a format that supports your mobile phone. The most common file format for mobile phones are .mp4, .3gpp, .avi, .mpeg. So you will need a converter to be able to do this. Try the Nokia Converter, Xilisoft, Total Video Converter and a lot more. These are trial version only so you will need to purchase the software to be able to use the complete features of it.

 My cell phone is Nokia N70

I did downloaded the program yet i don't know what is the format that I need for my cell phone.

Also in converting files

make sure you have  the right codecs for the program to work

What particular video file are you trying to play and what is your mobile phone model? Most mobile phones today can play .mp4 or 3GPP files. So it really depends on which mobile phone are you using. If it cannot be played on your phone, use a converter. If you are using a Nokia phone, you can try the Nokia Converter which can convert almost all types of video files. There are lots of converter you can download online. You may even try the Xilisoft which is best for Apple devices.

Remember that it is always best to use trusted and legit software for your needs. Do not use any illegal tools to convert your videos. It may cause harm to your computer.
