Hi,

I want to connect my keyboard with my PC and need to clean. I disconnected all hardware from CPU.

After cleaning when I started my PC, then my keyboard didn't work.

I tried another keyboard, but didn't work.

Now I cannot use my keyboard.

What can I do? Is it a big problem? Please solve.

Thanks.

What's the type of connector that your keyboard has?

If it's an OS/2 (the connector end is kind of like a circle, with some pins in it), connect it to the OS/2 port on your computer.

Make sure you connect it to the correct slot, usually the keyboard slot is the purple one, while the mouse slot is the green one.

If you connect to the wrong slot, it will not work.

After you connect to the slot, restart your computer. Your keyboard should be working now.

If it’s still not working, since you have tried another keyboard and they don’t work as well, your port maybe broken.

You may get a new keyboard that doesn’t need OS/2 port, one that uses USB port instead.
