Can I use random passwords on Windows Server 2003?

Is it possible for the Windows Server 2003 to use random passwords for the active users and then force the users to change the password on first login?

Can I use random passwords on Windows Server 2003?

Hello Asher Robinson,

For sure it is possible to use random passwords and the let the active users change them on their first login. All you have to do is configure or allocate the passwords using the option that reads as follows: "users must change the password in the next login". If you use the "Password Expires" option then the users will not be given a chance to change their passwords once you allocate them the passwords.

So just allocate the passwords to the users with the option I have mentioned above so that they can change it in the next login, and that way each user will be responsible for the security of their account.
