Can I use acrobat reader cleaning utility to remove error?

Hi friends,

I have installed windows XP on my computer and using Adobe products. Actually I am already using Adobe Acrobat and now want to install Acrobat reader 7 too. I encountered with the error 1402. This error shows that “Could not write value Folders to key”. I am wondering how to resolve this issue. Can I use acrobat reader cleaning utility to clean the errors or should I have to adopt any other solution? I also required the demonstration of the solution.

Can I use acrobat reader cleaning utility to remove error?

Hi,

 

Adobe does not support multiple versions of Acrobat on the same system, so it could be the reason for error while installing. In that case, remove the previous versions of Acrobat. To remove it,

1. Click on start button

 2. Go to Control Panel

3. Double click on Add or Remove Programs

4. Select Acrobat or Reader, and then remove all the installed versions

5. Restart your computer and reinstall Acrobat Reader 7

If still the error persists, you need to change the registry settings. Set permissions to their defaults in the registry
