Can I change the Window 7 Starter Theme of my laptop?

I have an Acer aspire notebook which I have bought two years ago. It is running on Window 7 starter operating system.

For two years, I’ve been seeing the same blue background image and it gets a bit old. I wanted to make it look more appealing and personalize it. The only thing I could change is the screen savers.

Is there a way I could change Windows 7 Starter Theme without shifting to window 7 premium?

Hi Dawnn,

In this version Microsoft made some changes in this field.

Personalization options are reduced to a minimum. But, still, you can do something to personalize it on your own way.

Right click on your desktop and then Personalize.

In this tab you can change your color scheme, some Windows sounds.

You can go on your gadgets tab and then select a gadget you want and resize it to 320 X 240.

You can actually change your windows starter theme I have two options for you. First, go to your Control Panel and look for the change color scheme here is where you can select the colors and apply it just as you like. But if you're not satisfied with it then I'll just give you a link wherein you can download for free:

HI,

 

With This method you will be able to modify or change your Windows 7 Basic, Enterprise, Home, professional and ultimate edition.

 

Make a big Cup of tea and follow these steps:

 

To Change the Theme in Windows 7 Starter and Home Basic.

 

Step one:

From the Start menu select the Control Panel.

 

Step two:

Select Appearance and Personalization, then press Change the theme.

 

Step three:

Select from any of the default Windows 7 themes displayed. Now you'll be given the chance to personalize four aspects of the theme; desktop background, Windows color, sounds and screen saver. To do this simply click on the aspect at the bottom of the window and select from the choices displayed.

 

Step four When you're happy with the choices you've selected press Save Theme.
