Can I change my domin for same blog?

Hey guys,

I want to ask a question that is can I change domain name for my blog. Actually I'm really confused about tis thing and thus asking here with a hope that I may get positive answer here. So I have a blog and custom domain for it and I'm thinking to change its domain again due to the fact that I came to know that there are other blogs too with much similar names. So please tell is it possible to do so or not.

Hello Christa,

In technical terms, I would rephrase your question, as to how to point, two different URL(different domains) to same website (your blog). The answer lies with your service provider from whom you have leased the web address. Ask them whether they allow parking(redirecting) of sites. If so, all you need to do is choose a new name with a new domain. The traffic to the old URL can be redirected to this new address. That way you will not loose traffic and you will have migrated to a new domain.

But be cautious, it is not that simple, you need to setup the whole site at your new domain, which can be quite a painful process.
