Dear Experts,

I usually download files from the internet which have extension like.swf.

But when I click them they do not play.

Can anyone help me find a Free Software for SWF files.

Extension .swf is used for Adobe Flash files. Therefore you need a sort of flash player to make them playable on your desktop.

 

You can easily open your .swf files via your web browser. Open the browser and drag and drop the file into an empty tab. If your browser doesn't support flash, you will be asked to install the needed plugin. 

 

The other option is to install the standalone player that will open .swf files on your desktop.

 

Adobe is offering one on its web page (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html), it is called Windows Flash Player 11.5 Projector and you can download it and use it for free.
