Hi!

MS Excel provides very dynamic calculations and formulas available to apply. Manipulation of dates was never such an easy task before the invention of MS Excel.

If you want to calculate the time passed during two different dates it is very much necessary to write both of the dates in the same format. The default format is dd/mm/yyyy. First of all write both of the dates in this format. Select the cell where you want to display the result of the formula. Press = then select the first date and then select the second date press enter.

Now the formula will be made automatically and will be displayed on formula bar at the top of the page. Now you can change the date and the time passed will change automatically.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

We do have different formulas to calculate different functions. Whereas regarding your calculations you want to find the number of days you have passed on.

The formula is:

  A B
1 15/08/88 Birthday
2 23 Age
3

The formula is= INT((TODAY()-A1/365.25)

Excel has a special function that if we type today in the formulas, it takes the current date .The number is used as 365.25 because all the years won't have 365 days.
