Hey, the security group vs distribution group is as follows:

• Security group:

1. In this there’s permission required for some of the rights of the systems.
2. All the members are assigned with the permissions as well
3. Every member in the groups have the same permissions too
4. The access is created when the user logs in to the systems.

• Distributed groups:

1. It is used to share the information with the group members
2. There less security in this
3. There’s no need for the SID
4. The messages are created randomly and send to the group members.
5. It can be send to the individuals as well.
