Blu Ray Optical Drive Not Playing Blu-Ray Movie

I just bought a new External HP Blu-Ray Optical Drive, But it is not playing Blu-Ray movie.

The Blu-ray Movie is original & I checked it before purchasing.

 I'm trying to play it on Windows Media Player. The following error message shows up. 

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

I've installed driver of blu-ray drive as well, but nothing happened. 

Help me what to do?

Hi Dudeman,

As far as I know. If you can’t play your CD in your CD drive will it means that your cd was not compatible in your application system that you are trying to play. And as you can read in your error message box that the file was corrupted and not support by your player.

So I suggest that try to format first your Blue ray cd before you play it in your windows media player. Or else you can also download CD player that compatible in your Blue ray CD or I mean windows media player in your system. But be sure that compatible in your system and in your Blue ray CD.
