Blank screen coming in Gateway laptop

Hi everybody,

I have purchased a Gateway NV53A laptop and there was no issues so far. But suddenly it started showing the blank screen. When I bought it, it starts processing, but then stops and show a blank screen. However the power lights are on. After many hours if I left it off it got booted, but when I restart it is again showing a blank screen. What is the problem with my computer? Any help is much appreciated.

Blank screen coming in Gateway laptop

Hello Sherri

These kind of problems are generally seen when the operating system crashes or some of the drivers go corrupt. If you are reaching the login screen after some time, try and back up all your data. Then try the following solutions.

(a) Reinstall your graphics card drivers.

(b) Swap your RAM sticks with borrowed one to rule the problem of RAM sticks going bad.

(c) If none of the above solutions work, Format the entire hard disk and go for a fresh installation of the Operating System.
