Blackberry Storm has signal outside US but cannot make a call

I'm in Singapore for work and I brought my Blackberry Storm with me. I got it from Verizon and as far as I know, it is network locked. So far, I am getting a signal but I cannot seem to do anything. I cannot make a call and I cannot send a message. Does anybody have any idea about this?

Hi Corin Ronie,

I am sorry to hear of the scenario you are facing.

As you stated earlier, your mobile phone is NETWORK LOCKED.

This means that it can only be use while you are in the USA. Since you are overseas (not in USA) you will not be able to make or receive calls on that phone.

In order for this phone to be used in Singapore, it would need to be unlocked.

The unlock code can be retrieved by calling Verizon and requesting the code.
