Blackberry sound quality very poor

Hi there,

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 which was operating on OS 4 and after updating to OS 5, the sound quality is so distorted am tempted to lower it back to OS 4, music is no longer playing nice and call quality is troubling, How do I fix this? How does upgrading interfere with sound in Blackberry?

I do not think it has got anything to do with your upgrade. OS 5 in fact promises better sound quality. Also, the phone average sound quality is very good. So, I suspect it might be something to do with your multimedia setting (sound).

In your home screen click the Media icon and then press Menu key. Now, click on options and change the Headset Music EQ field, press the Menu and click Save. You may also want to set the phone back to default factory settings if this still not solves the problem.
