Best video editing programme both on windows and mac OS

What is the best video editing program for both Mac and Windows? I am currently looking into buying a new laptop. I am hesitating between a Mac book Pro and any other Windows laptop. Can anyone indicate to me which one is the best for video editing? Also if I choose Windows, is an i7 processor a must?

Best video editing programme both on windows and mac OS

There are lots of video editing software in the market .Some available for windows or some for Mac.But I think Adobe Premiere Pro is the best choice for both windows or Mac.It is easy and it has sAnd if you are looking a best laptops for video editing from my point of view you should go for Macbook Pro with retina display is the best choice.Because it has a great display,extremely fast and all in one it is the powerhouse of video editing. it is the powerhouse of video editing.But thereare lots of good option for windows laptops also.And if you think core i7 is must for video editing it is not.Core i3 or i5 is good for video editing.But if you want it works faster then you should go for core i7.
