Well, in Microsoft Windows especially for certain versions like Win 10, 8, 7 and Vista, there are a tool which can be found for capturing snapshots. If it isn’t present on your personal computer, you can download it anyway from free tool using links for snipping.

The Snipping Tool is used to easily capture a snapshot of your entire screen or a portion of it. With the tool, you can add notes, save the snapshot, and even email it right within the Snipping Tool window. The tool is included as part of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

To launch the Snipping Tool in Microsoft Windows 7, click “Start” then in the search box type without quotes “snipping tool”. In the search results, click “Snipping Tool”. To capture a snip using the tool, in Snipping Tool, select the arrow next to the “New” button then select the type of snip you want. Next, select an area of your screen.

There are four types of snips you can capture with the tool:

• Free-form Snip – with this type, you can draw a free-form shape around an object you want to capture.
• Rectangular Snip – with this type, you can drag the cursor around an object to create a rectangle.
• Window Snip – with this type, you can select a window like a dialog box or a web browser’s window that you want to capture.
• Full-screen Snip – this type allows you to capture the entire screen.
