I tried installing Avira Internet Security 2012 for a better security on my computer but while installing it, i encountered this error, can anyone give me a solution?
Error: The installation of the LSP failed. Mail Protection and Web Protection therefore cannot be installed. we recommend that you repair the LSP stack and then reinstall Mail Protection and Web Protection via the user-defined installation.

To resolve the issue you are getting with Avira you will just use the following steps:

 On your computer click on Start and then choose Programs followed by Accessories.

 Locate the Command Prompt and click on it.

 You will then need to type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt window, and after that you will press the Enter key on your keyboard.

 Next you will restart the computer.

 You will then click on Start and then Control Panel followed by Add or Remove programs;

 Next you will choose Avira and then press Change, and then select Modify;

 You should ensure that all the boxes are checked, and then click Next;

 Restart the computer after that.
