Avira fails to make a complete scan

Hi there,

During the scan of my PC with Avira antivirus this error appeared. After I clicked the OK button the program closed and I had to restart my PC to open it again. It appears every time when I want to scan my PC. Can anyone help me please to make a complete scan of my PC ? What could be the problem ?

Avira fails to make a complete scan

If this error always appears every time you scan your computer for viruses, try reinstalling the antivirus. If you are using an older version, download and upgrade to Avira Free Antivirus 14.0.6.570. It requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 [x64 only], Windows XP Service Pack 3 [x86 only], Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 both x86 and x64. Microsoft Windows Vista is no longer supported.

Once downloaded, uninstall your current antivirus then restart the computer. Navigate to the download folder then double-click the Avira installer to install the latest version. Once installed, update the antivirus and then run a full system scan on your computer. You can also try Norton Internet Security. It provides 30 days of free usage so you can better evaluate the antivirus.

Norton Internet Security requires Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
