AVG 9.0 Settings for Email Scanner

My AVG 9.0 free version has an email scanner which scans my Microsoft Outlook. How do I change this setting? My current OS is Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. I am using AVG 9.0 and the Windows Firewall for security. Thanks in advance.

AVG 9.0 Settings for Email Scanner

You can change the settings of the email scanner if you do not need to use it for scanning your outlook files. You will need to do the following:

• Open the AVG interface.
• In the AVG menu, look for tools and click on it.
• You will see a list of utilities that AVG offers ranging from identity protection, antivirus, email scanner and others.
• Click on the email scanner to open it.
• You will need to disable the email scanner in the  window that will open by unchecking a box that has enabled,

You will have disabled the scanner, and the links that you will access on the internet and the emails that you will receive will not be scanned by AVG anymore.
