Hi experts,

I don’t know how to skip this error when I want to install AutoCAD 2014 on my MAC and have no idea what it means Journaled HFS+ file system. What is the solution for this error ? What Journaled HFS+ means ?

Thank you !

With this error, I don’t think you are still using the HFS file system on your Mac because it is long been used on old Macintosh computers and I think are no longer being used today. It was replaced by HFS+ which is an extension to the old HFS file system. If you have this error, it is more likely that you are using an HFS+ file system but without enabling journaling.

So, even if your hard drive is using the HFS+ file system when you install AutoCAD 2014 but without journaling it will be detected because it is required in the installation and for running the program afterwards. To fix this problem, you just need to enable journaling on your file system. To enable journaling, open Disk Utility located in Applications, Utilities.

Next, select the volume where you want to enable journaling and then click Enable Journaling. You can also do this by clicking File and then selecting Enable Journaling. If you want to disable it maybe some time in the future, click File and select Disable Journaling. For Mac users with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and higher, click Option to display Disable Journaling in the File menu.
