Audio service on windows 7 are always not running

Hello,

I'm having this problem for quite some time now, every time I start my windows there is a red X mark on the volume icon at the lower right side on the windows toolbar that says "Audio service not running". There is still some audio on my computer and its working fine but this really bothers me seeing that red X mark. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Audio service on windows 7 are always not running

Do the following steps:
1- On the start menu go to Run, type "services.msc" and hit "Ok".

2- When the services window opens scroll down to Windows Audio and double click it.

3- Make sure startup type is automatic.

4- If the service is not running right click it and hit "start", else hit "restart".

5- On the start menu go to Run, type "msconfig" and hit "Ok".

6- On the services tab, make sure that Windows Audio is checked.
