Aoa dvd ripper se crashes when launched

I have a lot of avi format home movies in my 64 GB SD Card.  I just installed AOA DVD ripper SE 5.3.3 so I could burn and transfer them into a DVD disc.  The program crashes when launched.  What could be the problem?  I'm on Windows 8.  Thanks.

The program that you are trying to use, AOA DVD Ripper SE 5.3.3 is not compatible with Windows 8. This will be the reason for the program crashing when launched. 

I would suggest you use another program to transfer your avi files to dvd.

A few recommendation would be :

Ashampoo Burning Studio

Xilisoft AVI to DVD

Nero Burning Rom
