ANGRY BIRDS GAME INSTALLATION FAILURE

My son loves the game Angry Birds so much that he has been bugging me to install it on our computer for the last few weeks.

We have a Windows 7 Ultimate desktop, 2 Gig RAM, and around 80 Gig of free hard disk space, way higher than the minimum system requirements for the game, but when I try to install it, I get the error message

The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

I was able to install other games like Plants vs. Zombies and Warcraft III on our computer, but the Angry Birds game simply won't install.

Please help me guys. Thanks! Below is a screenshot of the error.

Error:

 AngryBirds.exe-System Error

The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your
computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

This error usually occurs when trying to install Angry Birds. The best way to deal with it is to download the MSVCR100.dll file which is missing. You can search for websites where you can download it. For Windows XP users, paste the said file in C:Windowssystem32  and for Windows 7 users, paste it on C:Windowssystem.

If your Windows 7 is 64 bit, copy the .dll to  C:WindowssysWOW64 folder. You can then double click on the angrybirds.exe file to start the game. For Vista users, the error would be "side by side configuration is incorrect." You can download it from their website, just click the link below:

If you tried to install “Angry Birds” but the installation failed, check the system requirements and verify that your computer meets those requirements. On the other hand, if the game successfully installed but it doesn’t run and gives you this DLL file error, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install.

Angry Birds

Once installed, start Revo then select Angry Birds among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install Angry Birds back.

If this doesn’t work, download the missing msvcr100.dll File instead. The file is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions and in different versions. Once the DLL file is downloaded, unpack or extract the ZIP file and copy it to the installation folder of the program requesting it.

If this doesn’t work, copy the DLL file to “C:\WINDOWS\system32” if the application is 32-bit and to “C:\Windows\SysWOW64” if it is 64-bit. This should fix the problem. For other versions of the game, go to the Angry Birds homepage.
