Advent 7211 Laptop Speakers Produces Distorted Sound Quality

Hi,

My Advent 7211 laptop uses Vista but the speakers produces a distorted sound quality. However, there is no such problem when I used external speakers or headphones. Who has the solution to such an issue?

I would gladly appreciate the answer to such a problem.

Hi Jayce, 

You may want to check on your system settings regarding your sound data. You will see it in the Control Panel > Sounds and Devices 

From there you can set your sounds to your liking. The current settings might be too high, and everything put to boost that's why it produces continuous distorted sounds.

Second, were your speakers like that even before when your laptop was new? If yes, it may be your sound card. Some sound cards cant handle particular sound waves if they are too advanced.

Hi Jaycepierce,

 

The speakers from your laptop should be working fine if there are no hardware problems on it. Try playing a sound from a video vs an mp3 sound. If the speakers still produce a distorted sound, then it could be a sound card or a motherboard issue. You need to have it checked with a professional technician. You might need to check the internal hardware from your laptop. You can also try unplugging the power supply from your laptop. If you have a lot of plugs that are close with each other could cause this kind of issue.
