Advantages of Installing of an additional cooling fan

I have a desktop computer and It has a single fan behind, I have seen many of my friends computers have two fans is there an advantage in having two fans over one a single fan? If so how much would it cost me to add a fan onto my system unit? What is the best choice of fan and what do I need to consider?

Advantages of Installing of an additional cooling fan

It is better to have more than one cooling fan. The longer you use your computer and the more applications or proccesses running on your application the processor, video card, and RAM gets hotter and the cooling fans are the one who try to keep them from overheating and eventually failing. Lower CPU temperature is equal to quieter system, and better and faster performance. The price varies per brand and capacity. First you need to consider the size of the fan if it will fit in you computer case usually fans are measured by millimetre (mm). You also need to consider how you use your computer before buying a cooling fan. If you use your computer for gaming, and your always go online or use it for 6 hours or more then consider getting a cooling fan with higher cfm (cubic feet per minute) which measure the airflow that can be moved, the noise level which is measured by dBA which depends on the RPM (revolution per minute) that measure the speed of rotation of the fan, and the type of cooling fan since there are air coolers, which uses air and water coolers, which usually have pumps that some users says noisier than the Air coolers.

Advantages of Installing of an additional cooling fan

Before buying the new fan, please check that.

Is the system getting hot when you use it for few hours.

Is your fan creating a lot of voices while you are using it.

If there is no problem like that then you do not need to add any further fan.

Because your fan is working good and no need to add further fan it will just consume the electricity.
